Is this a Free School?

No – Forge Wood Primary School  is a new Academy that is being built following a competition run by West Sussex County Council under the Targeted Basic Need programme. The Council decided on the need for the school, provided the site and are responsible for building the new school. GLF Schools will run the new school once it’s built.

Where will the school be?

The school will be located in the middle of the new Forge Wood district neighbourhood development which lies to the north east of Crawley. The area is bounded to the east by the M23 and to the south by the A 2011 (Crawley Avenue). 

When will the new school building be finished?

The new building is planned to be completed in the summer term 2017. The school is temporarily located in an embryo site until completion July 2017 on the Forge Wood development adjacent to where the new school is being built.
